Since some time ago phrases have become heard also in daily life “to cherish finite resources”, and at last every person has become able to understand the fact that the earth’s energy resources have been consumed and its environment destroyed, through visible and tangible events such as surging oil prices, heat waves and effects on field crops.
Japan is a major energy-consuming country in the world. Fossil fuels - oil, coal and natural gas ? account for 84% of the energy of the country although there is almost no domestic energy resource. In particular, the proportion of oil which is 44% is the next highest after Korea among the major energy-consuming countries.
The time has come when each individual must think and act on what should be done to stop draining energy resources and destroying the environment.
IT Cars will engage, as business, in various projects in order to realize an environment which enables a healthy coexistence of earth and man.
Next-generation energy production project - BTL (Biomass to Liquid)

Biomass refers to biologically-derived resources, and fuels using biomass are also called biofuels and ecofuels.
BTL is a technology with which plants and organic waste such as plastics can be gasified and fuels equivalent to diesel fuel can be produced by a process called FT synthesis.
The BTL plant is gaining attention as a method of producing energy of the next generation since not only can its widespread application process wastes, but also energy can be produced very efficiently at the same.
In 2010, a demonstration plant was constructed in Nakacho, Tokushima prefecture, as a project subsidized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. At present, business discussions are under way not only with domestic municipalities but also with the UK, Canada, India and China.
Energy-saving projects Thermally insulating films and coatings using Eco Shield
Ecoshield is a technology for applying film and coating, specialized for glass, which is colorless and transparent, and cuts ultraviolet and infrared rays. Effects of shutting out heat in summer and keeping in heat in winter can be expected. Energy savings of up to 31% in summer and up to 8% in winter can be expected as energy saving measures are promoted against global warming.
It is registered in the New Technology Information System (NETIS) of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. There are already many actual records of adoption in buildings under the purview of the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Justice as well as in such institutions as national universities.
Project for Improvement of Hygienic Environment Pure’sh instant disinfectant/deodorant
The instant disinfectant/deodorant pure’sh has hypochlorous acid as its main ingredient, and acts effectively also on norovirus and spores of bacillus subtilis, for which disinfection with alcohol is ineffective. Since it is very safe and less expensive compared to conventional alcohol, it is utilized widely in hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, pet shops, etc.
Next-generation Automobile Development Project
IT Cars will develop a bifuel kit based on the hydrogen vehicle development technology of Tokyo City University (formerly Musashi Institute of Technology) which enables the use of gasoline and hydrogen as fuel.

We consider that the best option in environmental measures of automobiles for the global warming problem is not replacement purchase (exchange) but modification to utilize hydrogen fuel (change).
We will develop a kit (a set of retrofit equipment) which enables the modification of conventional gasoline vehicles to hydrogen bifuel vehicles with high environmental suitability. By mass production of kits, the price of renewing conventional vehicles to convert them into environmental vehicles, the greatest bottleneck in the spread of next-generation vehicles which reduce CO2 emissions, will become approximately 800,000 yen (labor excluded). At the same time, the effect will be generated of making the existence of hydrogen energy as a social infrastructure widely known in society.
- The internal combustion engine has good compatibility not only with CNG/LPG but also with hydrogen.
- The engine is not bad. What is bad is the fossil fuel. Thus, only the fuel is changed.
- Fossil fuel was the answer for a century of the automobile, but will be depleted by 20XX. At the same time, it has become the culprit by the emergence of a new environmental sense of values.
- If the LCA of automobiles is considered, CO2 is emitted during manufacturing and scrapping as well.
- The environment is an international keyword. The widespread adoption of next-generation vehicles is a national project.
